About Lord Murugan

Lord Murugan, also known as Kartikeya, Skanda, and Subrahmanya, is the Hindu god of war, victory, wisdom, and love. He is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, and the brother of Lord Ganesha.

Devotees worship Murugan at the six sacred abodes (Arupadai Veedu) in Tamil Nadu — Tirupparamkunram, Thiruchendur, Palani, Swamimalai, Thiruthani, and Pazhamudircholai.
